Stayed at Rainbow Hotel, Trincomalee, Sri Lanka
Awoke while still dark. In years past, I would seek the snooze button an such an hour, but today I race out the door and onto the first bus – hoping for a beach sunrise. Explored Trincomalee’s Fort. Domesticated deer with massive antlers allowed me to approach within a few feet.

Checked out Koneswaram Temple situated atop the Cliffside. Panoramic views.

Walked through the army barracks, pretending to be lost, quickly an officer ushered me to the exit. Met some local fishermen. 17 year old boy begged me for ways he could change his life for the better by coming to the USA. I suggested he apply to attend school in a U.S. college. Got on the wrong bus to Hotel Ochin.

Met another group my age and chilled near harbor. Staying on the beach today (Walked 12 km walk with pack).
Rewards come in sporadic and unexpected intervals. Remain calm as new friends ask me the same questions. Orrs Hill walk tomorrow.
Silence, a gentle smile, genuine eye contact, warm heart…yields more love than any clever phrase one could mutter. Confidence in a new age of enlightenment. Contentment with each scenario. Future plans only to give myself a general horizontal direction. The mindset remains the same: continue changing. Continue blending in to any situation.
